Boss Eyes Improvement
United's clutch of burgeoning young talents has Sir Alex Ferguson in confident mood ahead of the new campaign. Although the likes of Nani and Anderson shone last term alongside the ever-improving Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, the United manager fully expects further improvement from them in the coming months and years. "I think we’ve got a good team and there’s some development still to come.," he said. "There are some young players who for a period last season did very well, and for a period showed their youthfulness by being inconsistent. Those young players will come on a bundle now.

Vida Enjoys United Success

The success Nemanja Vidic has enjoyed at United has erased the self-doubts that plagued the start of his Old Trafford career. But the 26-year-old has since become a mainstay in the starting line-up, helping the Reds win two Premier League titles and a Champions League. “Now when I play, I feel proud of what I have achieved over the last few years. To play for United and win trophies is a big thing and I am proud to be part of this team.”

United To Play Portsmouth

Manchester United
United have enjoyed great success since the start of the premiership which includes 8 league titles, 4 FA Cups, 1 Champions league trophy, 1 Treble and 3 Doubles as well as never being out of the first three and winning 3 in a row. However it has been 3 seasons now since we last won the premiership now we have our trophy back! The 06/07 season has been a thrill from start to finish and seen the emergence of Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player in the world. Once again United have proved to be the best club in Europe and have won their 17th League title and the 3rd European Cup 50 years after the Busby Babes lost their lives at Munich. Also Ryan Giggs made history for making the most appearances (759) beating Sir Bobby Charlton and winning his 10th title.
