United Face Bayern
United will face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, away on Tuesday 30 March and at home on Wednesday 7 April. Should the Reds beat the Germans, then Sir Alex Ferguson's men are guaranteed to meet a French side in the semi-finals - the winners of the Lyon vs Bordeaux quarter-final. United would be at home in the first leg of the semi on Wednesday 21 April, away in the second on Tuesday 27 April. full story...

Rooney Scores Again
United moved back to the top of the Barclays Premier League with a hard-fought victory over Roy Hodgson's Fulham at Old Trafford. Red-hot striker Wayne Rooney grabbed his 31st and 32nd goals of the season in the second half, turning in a pair of close-range finishes after pinpoint crosses from Nani and Dimitar Berbatov, before the Bulgarian added a deserved third goal late on.

United Annihilate Milan
It was oh-so-easy for United on Wednesday as goals on either side of the break from Wayne Rooney and second-half strikes from Ji-sung Park and Darren Fletcher helped the Reds cruise into the Champions League quarter-finals. AC Milan, so often United’s bogey team in Europe, rarely tested Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, despite coming to Old Trafford intent on scoring goals. Instead, it was Wayne Rooney who found the net twice to put the tie beyond Milan’s reach and spoil David Beckham’s homecoming. Park and Fletcher merely iced the cake.

United Win Back To Back Cups
United claimed the first silverware of the new decade thanks to goals in each half from cup final specialist Michael Owen and the super substitute who replaced him – Wayne Rooney. Aston villa took the lead with a penalty scored by Milner but Owen equalised soon after with a good shot after some clever work by Berbatov. Rooney then came on for Owen and scored the winner with another header to give United back to back Carling Cups.

Giggs Is BBC Personality 2009
Manchester United star Ryan Giggs was crowned 2009 BBC Sports Personality of the Year in Sunday's award ceremony. The Welsh winger, 36, is the most decorated player in English football with a record 11th Premier League winners' medal secured this year. "This is a shock as you can tell by the speech I've prepared," joked Giggs when collecting his award. "I grew up watching this programme. To see the people that have won it and to be here is unbelievable."

Manchester United
United have enjoyed great success since the start of the premiership which includes 11 league titles, 4 FA Cups, 2 Champions league trophy, 1 Treble and 3 Doubles as well as never being out of the first three and winning 3 in a row twice.  Once again United have proved to be the best club in Europe and have won their 18th League title. United have now equalled Liverpool's record. Also Ryan Giggs made history for making the most appearances (759) beating Sir Bobby Charlton and now 805 and winning his 11th title. However we now have to start again without Ronaldo who signed for Real Madrid for £80m, and Carlos Tevez.
